March 27th- Science Fair

Common Core Update:
Math- Moving into Chp. 8- Dividing Fractions
Math Tutoring is available schoolwide afterschool M,T,W and F from 3:30-4:00 –Library and on Wednesdays at 1:30 with 4-H
Writing-  Practicing in the lab for our next Essay Writing Test
Reading- Reading: Informational Text Standard 10 
By the end of the year, read and comprehend informational texts, including history/social studies, science, and technical texts, at the high end of the grades 4–5 text complexity band independently and proficiently. Continue to develop fluency when reading documents written in cursive. I’m excited to listen about the different Mystery Books that have been read.  Class Story-“Dear Mr.Henshaw” and “Tangerine”
 Science- We are now done trading with Mr.Greenhalgh- Topic: Matter and Mr.Coates-Topic: Electricity Thank you fellow team members.  Our class will begin our “ Heredity Unit”   ** Thinking Ahead- I require the Science Fair/Poster as a homework assignment in Science. Start thinking about a topic you would like to learn more about.  SCIENCE FAIR- March 27th
Spelling/Vocabulary- Lesson 6 words with the long i sound
***HOMEWORK- The packets that I prepare are very important to support the learning done in our class for the week. Please help your student be responsible for returning their packet each Friday. It is better to bring in a half completed packet vs. no packet.  Non-returned homework = 0/100 points
