March 1st- District Spelling Bee-Good Luck to our Holden!!
March 4-8th- SEP WEEK-School will be dismissed at 2:30 each day
March 5th- Grandparents Lunch
March 6th- Happy Birthday Tristen
March 16th- Science Fair Entry form due or Topic Chosen for essay
March 21st- Science Fair

Core Update:
Math- Chp.12 Perimeter and Area Review and Test Moving onto
Chp.13-Solids
Spelling/Vocabulary- Lesson 22
Science- Heredity-Paints Family Tree/Inheritated and Learned Traits
I am requiring the Science Fair this year. If that is a problem your student can do an optional 5-paragraph research essay instead. Please talk this over with your student and let me know.
The Science Fair is always lot of fun and we appreciate your support.
Social Studies- Moving West
Don’t forget to work on your Patriot Book!!
Reading- Small Group Novels and “Off and Running”- We are enjoying the new book WONDER as our Read Aloud. Please share your love for reading with your student!
Language/Writing- I am very proud of all of your students in the preparation for our Direct Writing Assessment this week. I hope they can all feel successful with their 5-paragraph essay that has to be written and typed.

We will take a class spelling test off random words in the Scripps Spelling Bee. The highest two scores will then be given the opportunity to participate in the School and District Spelling Bee.
