WELCOME BACK STUDENTS and HAPPY NEW YEAR!! I hope you are ready to get back to work and have some fun! Thank you for all your nice Christmas wishes!

Upcoming Dates:

Wed. Jan.9^th- Math Tutoring 1:30-2:00 I will do this every Wednesday that I can. I will list on the Monday newsletter if it’s scheduled for that Wednesday. Anyone is welcome to stay, but please make previous arrangements with your child. No siblings or friends please.

Fri. Jan 11^th- End of Second Term

Feb.4^th- Biography Book Report Due- Packet sent home this week

Core Update:

Math- Chp.9 Fractions and Decimals- This is so important we will spend the next three chapters on fractions. Please polish up on your multiplication skills if necessary.

Spelling- Lesson 16- words adding suffixes –able and -less

Science- Whole Grade Trading for Matter, Electricity, Magnetism and

Heredity- We are learning about Matter from Mr.Greenhalgh

Social Studies- American Revolutionary War

Don’t forget to work on your Patriot Book!!

Reading- Small Group Novels and “The Case of the Flying Saucer People” BOOK REPORT: DUE-FEB.4^th Topic: Biography 

Language/Writing- We are now logged into UTAH WRITES Program-Students can also do this at home on their computer, to practice for our Direct Writing Assessment in February.PRACTICE! PRACTICE!
