We enjoyed learning from Jaden, Jade, Andrea, Cricket and Malia. Thank you for participating in the Science Fair!!  I appreciate your hard work and effort.

Attendance is so important!  Thank you for encouraging your student to be on time and striving for 100% attendance.

Utah State Core Update:

Math- Chp.14- Measurement Units, Time and Temperature- Challenge your students to look for the following vocabulary words-fluid ounce, cup, pint, quart, gallon, liter, milligram, Fahrenheit, Celsius, ounce, pound, ton, etc.
Science- Electricity – 5th grade classes trading this week to review
Social Studies- “ Americans Move West and United States Gets More Land.”  Patriot Award Pass -Off anytime your student is ready!
Spelling- Lesson 25- VCV words and study for the Spelling Bee
Reading- Class Story, “ The Fun They Had.” A science fiction story set in the future. Focus Skills- Drawing Conclusions, regular and irregular verbs and Mountain Language.

Utah State Core Update:
Math- Chp.17- Coordinate Plane and Chp. 20 Probability
Science- Electricity   
Social Studies- “ After the Civil War” and Patriot Award
Reading- Hopefully your student is reading their Fiction book of 150 pages or more.  Book Report is due April 18th.  Class Story-Dear Mr.Henshaw with writing and reading strategies.
Spelling- Lesson 24- VCCCV Words

Science Fair
Thursday is the Science Fair.  Here is the schedule for that day.
8:20- 9:00  Parents and students set up the project in the gym.
9:30- 3:15- Judging 
6:30- P.T.A. General Meeting (Winners are announced.)  Family time to walk around and view Science Fair Projects and Class Art.

We are going to Joseph and the Technicolor Dream Coat on Friday, March 25th.  The cost is $1 per person and the play begins at 10:00am.  Please wear appropriate shoes and clothes.

Our class had 100% attendance to SEPS! Thank you for coming and supporting your student. I hope they can achieve their goals we set for 4th term.J

Writing: Congratulations to every single student in our class! They worked very hard to complete the Direct Writing Assessment.  We will now work on Four Square in different genres of writing.
Spelling: Lesson 22- Vowel –Consonant- Consonant -Vowel Patterns.
